Hydrogen flame copper brazing

Hydrogen flame copper brazing is a method of welding that utilizes the high-temperature flame generated by the combustion of a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen gases. According to evidence, hydrogen oxygen flame welding has the advantages of easy operation, no need for gas cylinders, and fast welding speed.H2 flame copper brazing uses the high-temperature flame generated by the combustion of hydrogen gas as a heat source to heat the copper brazing material to a molten state, allowing it to flow into the gaps between the connected copper workpieces. After cooling, it forms a firm joint.
The temperature generated during hydrogen combustion can reach a very high level, which can meet the temperature requirements for copper braze. Meanwhile, the product of hydrogen combustion is water, which will not cause pollution to the welding area.

Characteristics of h2 flame copper brazing

1.High welding temperature: It can quickly melt copper brazing materials and improve welding efficiency.
2.Clean and pollution-free: The product of hydrogen combustion is water, which is environmentally friendly.
3.High joint strength: By using appropriate brazing materials and processes, high-strength welded joints can be obtained.
4.Suitable for various copper materials: can weld different types of copper alloys.

Process steps of h2 flame copper brazing

1.preparation
Clean the surface of the welded copper workpiece to remove impurities such as oil stains and oxides.
Choose the appropriate copper braze material and determine the composition and specifications of the braze material according to the welding requirements.
2.Prepare welding equipment, including hydrogen source, welding gun, pressure gauge, etc.
Heating the workpiece
3.Open the hydrogen valve, adjust the flame size, and aim the flame at the copper workpiece being welded for heating.
Heating should be uniform to avoid local overheating or overcooling.
4.Add brazing material
When the copper workpiece is heated to the appropriate temperature, copper brazing material is added to the welding area.
The braze material will melt at high temperatures and flow into the gaps between copper workpieces.
5.Cooling and cleaning
After welding is completed, allow the welding area to cool naturally.
After cooling, use tools such as wire brushes to clean the residue and oxides on the welding surface.
